The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is currently transitioning from the old AES cameras to the more advanced Automated Awareness Safety System (AwAS) cameras in a move to improve road safety across Malaysia.
The restriction will be enforced for four (4) days, from 19 to 20 March 2026 and 28 to 29 March 2026, to ensure smoother traffic flow on highways and major roads nationwide.

- Failing to comply with speed limits
- Disobeying traffic signals, including running red lights
- Overtaking on double lines
- Driving on the emergency lane
- Not wearing seat belts or helmets
- Queue cutting
- Using mobile phones while driving
